Overview
The Equipment Rentals feature lets divers browse your gear catalogue and submit rental requests linked to their trip bookings. You review and confirm each request before any payment is taken, giving you full control over availability.
Setting Up Your Rental Catalogue
- Go to Equipment in your account.
- Click + Add Item.
- Fill in the item details: name, category (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, fins, mask, tank, computer, torch, etc.), daily rental rate, deposit amount, condition notes, and available quantity.
- Upload 1–3 photos of the item.
- Click Save Item. The item is now listed in your public gear catalogue.
The Rental Booking Flow
- A diver with a confirmed trip booking can add rental gear from your catalogue on the trip detail page.
- They specify rental dates (usually matching their trip dates) and submit the rental request.
- You receive a notification and can review the full request in Bookings → Rental Bookings.
Managing Rental Bookings
- Go to Bookings → Rental Bookings.
- Use the status filter: Pending, Confirmed, Paid, Completed, Cancelled.
- Click a rental row to view: diver name, items requested, dates, linked trip, and notes.
- Click Confirm — the payment link is sent automatically.
- Click Decline if gear is unavailable. The diver is notified.
