Overview

Keeping your availability and rates up to date ensures the platform surfaces the right trip listings in your feed and helps operators see whether you are a realistic candidate. Outdated availability is one of the most common reasons guides are passed over.

Setting Your Rates

  1. Go to Guide Profile → Rates.
  2. Enter your day rate — your standard daily guiding fee in USD. This is displayed on your profile card in search results.
  3. Enter your trip rate — your total fee for a multi-day or liveaboard engagement. Clarify in your bio whether this includes accommodation, meals, and flights.
  4. Click Save.

Setting Your Availability Calendar

  1. Go to Guide Profile → Availability.
  2. Tick the months you are typically available to take trips.
  3. Set your minimum trip length (shortest engagement you will accept) and maximum trip length.
  4. Add availability notes: regions, blackout dates, back-to-back availability.
  5. Click Save. The platform immediately updates which trips show in your Available Trips feed.

Trip Type Preferences

Go to Guide Profile → Trip Preferences and select the trip types you prefer: liveaboard, day trips (boat), courses/instruction, technical dives, private charters, or group tours. Preferences prioritise listings in your feed and let operators filter their guide search by trip type.

Offer History

Go to Guide Trips → Offers to see every offer you have submitted across all trips and their outcomes (Pending, Accepted, Declined, Withdrawn). Use this to refine your approach over time.
